Before commissioning a new valve, it is essential to ensure that it contains a top-quality internal check valve. These valves are exclusively manufactured using stainless steel and come equipped with the patented Flow Wolf® threaded-cage. This design ensures that the ball check is not accidentally injected into the valve when pumping heavy valve sealant. A working check valve is critical in ensuring valves can be serviced under pressure safely.

Internal check valves remain in place for years and must withstand direct contact with corrosive environments. It is worth noting that removing an internal check valve is more challenging compared to a standard fitting, particularly when the internal check valve is corroded. Sealweld® Flow Wolf® Internal Check Valves have been granted a Certificate of Authorization issued by ABSA (Alberta Boilers Safety Association). QUAD SEAL FITTING

The Flow Wolf® - Quad-Seal Injection Fitting is a recently developed design specifically tailored for extreme service conditions. It ensures complete elimination of leakage to the atmosphere and prevents harmful fugitive emissions during routine maintenance and on unattended valves.

With four internal sealing points, this fitting is particularly suitable for challenging environments such as offshore platforms, compressor buildings, meter stations, high concentration sour and acid gas operations, and situations involving hazardous or toxic gases and liquids where zero leakage is required.

The all-stainless steel construction eliminates the risk of plating failure, a common issue with standard carbon steel fittings. The thin plating on carbon steel can wear off over time, leading to rust and corrosion that renders the fitting unusable and potentially dangerous. In contrast, the stainless steel construction of the Flow Wolf® fitting significantly extends its service life, reducing the need for frequent replacement and minimizing costs.

Equipped with the patented threaded cage, the Flow Wolf® - Quad-Seal Injection Fitting is exceptionally durable. It is available in a wide range of thread sizes and configurations to accommodate various requirements.

The patented Flow Wolf design originated when our founder, W.J. Bill Chisholm, encountered a challenging situation in the field. While attempting to inject a heavy sealant compound into severely leaking valves, the existing sealant fittings quickly plugged and led to a check valve blow-out under high pressure.

To address this issue, the Flow Wolf design was developed in collaboration with Russian field engineers and Sealweld's own engineers in Canada. It was created to be the strongest and most durable sealant fitting available, combining field-tested technology with high-quality materials for an exceptionally robust solution. The Flow Wolf features a vented cap that safeguards the buttonhead flange and connecting threads from corrosion and damage.

Today, the Flow Wolf is widely used in pipeline valves across the globe and is the preferred choice of many leading pipeline operators. It is available in various thread sizes and types to accommodate different valve makes, models, and service conditions.
